Emmy-nominated communications/broadcast professional with strong public speaking/presentation skills looking to transition 10-year career to public relations or marketing.  Candidate is able to work at a high level under pressure situations meeting tight deadlines.  Has also been counted on to manage and delegate responsibilities in a department setting and communicate decisions to other departments within company.  Enjoys working in a team environment as well as handling individual duties executing at a high level.

The candidate’s experience in roles such as sports anchor, reporter, sideline reporter, producer, photographer, editor have allowed for experience in many different pressure situations.  The candidate has also worked as a marketing consultant for a non-profit, handling all aspects of video presentations.  The candidate was responsible for ground floor ideas and concepts behind video all the way through to the labor of shooting, editing, and producing the final product. The candidate also understands the importance of building relationships to further advance the prospective company’s goals and overall ideals.

Key Highlights:

* Filter 20-30 press releases per week determining news content value; generate 3-4 local stories for on air presentation; handle all duties from writing to shooting to editing.

* Coordinate highest sponsored program in station; Student Athlete of the Week program runs from September to June; responsibilities include but not limited to selection of candidates, story production, and emcee of end of the year banquet.

* Ability to effectively communicate with high profile individuals on a routine basis.

* Earned Emmy nomination and named statewide Associated Press Best Feature Reporter.

About Me:

I’ve recently relocated to Buffalo, NY.  My wife and 16 month old daughter reside in North Buffalo and are looking forward to becoming an active part of the WNY community.  I enjoy sports, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.

Salary Range:  

$45,000 to $55,000.
